Growing in Righteousness | A Free E-Book

GIR-cover

My passion is righteousness. It’s no secret.

And because of that, my heart is always trying to find ways to help people understand what we’ve been given in Christ.

Why do you need to know about righteousness?

1. It is the position in which God has placed you and the way in which He sees you.

2. Your understanding of it will help you remain strong against adversities.

3. It will give you more confidence in the things God has placed in your heart to accomplish.

The Bible says, “Every scripture is God-breathed (given by inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God many be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Another passage says, Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you…” (1 Timothy 6:11-12).

Understanding righteousness is vital to your Christianity. In this e-book, I share 10 simple lessons from God’s Word to help you meditate on who you really are as a Christian and how this understanding should empower you to live more fully. Really, you can’t “grow” in righteousness (referring to your position in Christ). It’s 100% yours the moment you are saved.

But you can grow in your understanding and application of it.

The picture and this book takes me back to when I worked in the nursery and saw the babies talk to their own reflection in the mirror I so often held in front of them. Only God knew what they were saying, but never the less they did it out of innocence–thinking that was another person on the other side. That brings to mind the fact that when we come to Christ we do become another person. The more we are renewed by his word the more the Holy Spirit takes the word and hammers it like a nail deeply into our spirits–and we begin to discover who we really are as we look in the mirror of God’s holy word–the greatest and best mirror of all. Thank you for doing what you do! Awesome book! I have so many ladies I now know that need this book! But for me it was a reminder and refresher! Blessings!

that is a sweet picture and that is what we should still feel about ourselves. as we grow up, the simple, loving things are sometimes taken away thru peer pressure or our friends unintentionally. We are to come to Jesus as little innocent children, like the one kissing the mirror. We should love ourselves and others the way God does. thanks, daphne
